Thanks to systems of tunnel ways, fortifications, combat trenches, soldiers and people of Cu Chi fought very bravely creating glorious feat of arms. The American invaders at first time stepped into Cu Chi land, they had to face so fierce resistances from tunnels from important and very difficult bases that they cried out, “Underground villages”, “Dangerous secret zone”, “cannot see any VC but they appear everywhere”… With its war pasture, Cu Chi Tunnels become a historical war hero of Vietnamese People like a 20th century legend and famous land in the world.
This Vietnam tour is created for the ones who do not have much time but still want to see all the highlights of Vietnam. This tour can be reversed to start in Hanoi and end in Saigon. It is also possible to extend some nights at the beach of Muine/Phan Thiet, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang at the end.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – ArrivalMeals: none

Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport. Our guide will welcome, and transfer you to your hotel in the center of city. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi tunnels

In the morning, we drive to Hoc Mon district to visit the incredible underground Cu Chi tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Back to the city for lunch after 4 hours excursion. In the afternoon, visit Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market for shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City – Danang – Hoi An

Drive to My Tho (65km). On arrival we take a private boat trip along the small canals of Mekong River seeing the daily life of the Mekong River people in both sides of the river. Then take a short tour by “xe loi” (motorized rickshaw) on the rural lane to the bank of Mekong River visiting a rice farm, coconut candy factory and honey bee farm. Continue our journey by sampan through the canals and mangrove forests to reach an island. Stroll on a fruit garden, taste diverse types of seasonal fruits, tea mixed with bee’s honey and enjoy a special folk show of traditional Mekong Delta music. Afternoon back to Ho Chi Minh for late flight at to Danang. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to Hoian town 35km away. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Hoi An

Transfer from Hoi An to My Son Holy land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century with very rich in history and culture. Contemplate its remarkable red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries.
Drive back to Hoi An, visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien pagoda and the colourful riverside market.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An

Day 6: Hoi An – Hue

We will transfer to Hue in the morning with a visit to Cham Museum on the way. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to King Minh Mang tomb, King Tu Duc Tomb. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue – Hanoi

Breakfast at hotel and visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Imperial Citadel of Hue before taking the flight to Hanoi. Pick up and transfer to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, we would like to show you Hanoi locals’ daily life with one hour trishaw (cyclo) ride around Hanoi Old streets, Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple then attend a Water Puppets show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: Hanoi City Tour

Today we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword.
Late afternoon we take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. In the evening, we enjoy a fantastic traditional water puppet show.

Day 9: Hanoi – Halong

Morning drive to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site. Upon arrival, board your deluxe traditional wooden junk. Welcome drink on board. After a relaxing break, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the wonderful Ha Long bay visiting its amazing grottoes and caves. Opportunity to dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of East Sea before relaxing on your sun deck to view a Halong sunset. Dinner on board with excellent fresh seafood. Overnight on board.
Day 10: Halong – Hanoi

Get up early to catch the sunrise on the bay and relax with a cup of hot coffee or tea. We depart for a visit to the splendid grotto and a quick glimpse of a nearby fishing village. Transfer to Hanoi for overnight.
Day 11: Hanoi Departure
